BenQ AK800ST – 5000-Lumen 4K Laser Projector Where Simulation Meets Reality
The BenQ AK800ST brings true 4K UHD (3840 × 2160) resolution, 5,000 ANSI lumens and AI-enhanced Golf Mode 2.0 to home simulators and hybrid golf-and-theatre rooms. Camera-assisted setup gets you from unboxing to your first tee shot faster, in a compact body that's easy to mount.
True 4K Resolution Enhanced by BenQ AI Vision
With 8.3 million addressable pixels, the AK800ST shows every blade of grass and every hazard in sharp detail. BenQ AI Vision recreates authentic course textures from tee to green: the uniform surface of the tee box, crisp fairway mowing patterns through AI Super Resolution, and the fine grain of the putting green through AI Picture Quality.
Golf Mode 2.0, 97% Rec. 709 Colour and 3,000,000:1 Contrast
BenQ's real-time Golf Mode 2.0 reproduces the natural colours and textures of world-class courses frame by frame. 97% Rec. 709 colour accuracy and a 3,000,000:1 contrast ratio add realistic depth, so you never lose sight of the pin.
5,000 Lumens for Hybrid Rooms
With 5,000 lumens, the AK800ST keeps the image bright and colourful with room lights on or daylight coming in. That makes it ideal for family rooms, finished basements and garages that double as entertainment spaces. Its Ambient Light Enhancer uses the built-in camera to monitor room light and adjust colour and saturation automatically.
AI-Powered Setup for Painless Installation
-
Auto Screen Fit 2.0: the built-in camera detects your impact screen's shape, size and curvature, then aligns a distortion-free image in seconds on flat or curved screens.
-
Smart Warping: progressively added control points make curved-screen calibration faster and more intuitive.
-
Screen Fill: six native output resolutions for 16:9, 16:10, 3:2, 4:3, 5:4 and 1:1 golf screens, with no stretching, black bars or distortion.
-
Autofocus and 1.2x motorized zoom: fine-tune sharpness and image size from the remote without moving the projector.
Short Throw Lens with 102.5% Offset for Low Ceilings
A 0.69–0.83 throw ratio fills a 10-ft-wide (16:9) image from roughly 2.1–2.5 m (6.9–8.3 ft). With a 102.5% projection offset, the image starts just below the lens when ceiling-mounted, so you can mount close to the ceiling, out of the swing path and without tilting the projector or relying on keystone.
Simulator by Day, Cinema by Night
Golf Scene Memory saves up to five complete display profiles (picture mode, screen fill, zoom, focus, geometry, audio and input source), so switching from golf to movies or gaming takes a single button. Three HDMI 2.1 inputs (one accepting 4K/120 Hz signals, downscaled to 1080p/120 Hz), input lag as low as 4.8 ms at 1080p/240 Hz, HDR10 and HLG support, and eARC audio make it a true all-in-one sim theatre.
